Hello! I came upon this dining set on craigslist and I know I have seen it before but I can't seem to ID the maker. The seller said there were the remains of a silver seal on the back of the china cabinet and "Buffet primavera" marked on the back of the buffet. I would really like some help at least ID'ing the maker so I can get a sense of the value before I make an offer. Thanks in advance!

Good looking set though I don't imagine the chairs are part of the original set...

I don't have a hard time imagining the chairs were part of the original set. This just looks like anonymous stuff from a mass-market "fine furniture" line, like Thomasville or Lexington or something. If you went out and bought today's equivalent it would likely cost something like eight grand. Let's hear it for resale!
