This is a fantastic executive's desk from the 60s. I've never seen anything nicer online, and if someone does see something nicer, post a link!

It's very large, incredibly heavy with seven drawers and eight legs. Still being used well as you can see!

Any idea who made it? Perhaps a UK manufacturer...

I guess it's a matter of taste. Those two desks are in a entirely different spirit. I feel that the one I posted has more stature and esteem. A real author's desk.

I like this one best.
Designed by Carlo Mollino c. 1949 and now manufactured by Zanotta.

Taste
I dont think there are many desk with more status or held in such high esteem as the Calk desk. But why ask for opinions if you really didnt want them?

Just said it was a matter of taste, purely subjective. Happy to hear other opinions of course. Funny to see that a design forum gets keyboard warriors too 🙂

Thanks for the tip re: Jens Risom!
I've found this online, which certainly shares certain characteristics, such as the pulls, but only has four legs and doesn't have a protruding side; not as luxury.
Anyone know if there is a definitive catalogue of Jens Risom designs? I'd love to figure out the precise date and model number.
Best
A

www.risom.org
Is a nice site, but it doesn't have close to all his designs.
P.S. The legs on your desk look round to me (hard to tell from the photo) ?

If you think I am a "warrior" with that response then you are in for a rough time on this forum. Now have we finished giving you advice on all the items in your house (or stock) or do you have more to add to the already growing list?

Okay
Then it's most likely not Risom.

Thought I spied
Brass end caps in the first photo... Definitely not Risom.
tynell- Do you have photos of Risom designs with round legs (particularly tables/desks)?
