Hi All,
I just can't seem to identify this 4 piece sectional sofa. I rescued it from a dumpster, literally.
What I do know about it: It was found in Albuquerque, NM. The wood is probably walnut. The upholstery is all new, when rescued half the cushions were gone, and in the other half the foam was dried to a powder. Originally it had upholstered side panels on each of the end seats. It had the pirelli rubber straps fagas straps, although of course they were stretched out, dried and brittle (the black straps you see now are obviously not original). The metal clips on the straps fit into the angled slot around the seat, which seems to be less common. The arms have a scoop gouge detail that runs along the arm and down the front stopping at the foot, which is unusual. There are no markings on the sofa anywhere although each piece has a pair of tacks on the underside paper under the heads.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

it reminds me
very much of the Brown & Saltman convertible sofa I have. Similar bottom detail, similar slant to the back rest. Squared frame mostly. Same wood. Maybe?
EDIT - Did I mention it is lovely?

Detail Photos
Hi All,
I just checked back this morning, and re-reading the post I think a few additional details shots of the unusual (identifying) features of the sectional would be helpful. Something about a picture being worth a 1000 words...
So I've added a photo of the 90 degree piece of the sectional by itself, as it is something I can't find anything similar to, and would be instantly recognizable. And there are a couple photos of the scoop detail along the tops and fronts of the arms.
Also the link to the flickr photo set was pretty well hidden at the bottom of the post, and there are more photos in it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/79973393@N02/sets/72157630005331547/
Thanks for the suggestions!

Dumpster
It was a big dumpster. Behind an apartment complex. Three of the four pieces were inside, which the "love seat" section on top, upside down, sticking out. And one of the one arm chair sections was out front. Fortunately it so filled the dumpster that the residents decided to use the other dumpster, so it wasn't too rank inside the dumpster at the time.
I only found it because someone posted on craigslist that there was a quality piece of furniture in the dumpster and even posted a photo.

Eerily similar unidentified lounge chair
So, I was looking around again to see if I could find anything and I bumped into a lounge chair on ebay which looks strongly like it was designed and/or made by the same person/firm as the sofa:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&hash=i...
Anyone recognize that lounge chair?
The final, and attached, shot of the seat without cushion showing the slot for the straps is particularly persuasive as I can't find any other furniture that holds the fagas straps in this manner. The proportions look identical. While that lounge chair is somewhat more sculpted, it still has the same angularity of the sofa.
thoughts?
Thanks!

Mystery solved.... maybe
I found a reference to a craigslist add for the lounge chair that matches the sofa.
And it looks waffle was right about the id.
Can anyone confirm the id on the attached screenshot is Brown Saltman?
Thanks!

Its only taken 4 years to figure it out, but here it is: designed by Tom Ward for the Indianapolis Chair Company. In Furniture Forum 1959.

Yeah. It is a very nice piece of furniture. Surprised they aren't more common. Maybe in Indiana....
