Hello friends at DesignAddict,
I hope that someone can tell me more about a bowl that I've had for years. It's marked with a vintage 50's or 60's Laurids Lonborg label, has a low profile with a boat shape, thin walls,( quite light ), and appears to be wood,( I've always assumed it was ). I sold it recently and the buyer questions whether of not it is actually made of wood.
I have a number of photographs which I would be happy to share with anyone interested in helping me with this question.
Unfortunately I don't yet know how to post photos on this Forum.
Thank You for your time and consideration,
Best Wishes, Tony

It
is almost certainly made of wood, I can't imagine them, as a company, using plastics or composites for such a piece.
(if they return it, I'll buy it ;))

I have a bowl that's almost exactly the same
black wood, 11" long and 4" narrow width. It has a silver label that says:
Beautiful Uniquely textured Functional
GRAINWARE
Make in California.
Warning: warm water and soap detergent. Avoid household solvents and temperature over 175 degrees F.

There seems to have been a bunch of black wood bowls and they're all really neat.
