Sorry for another ID request but this one has had me stumped for a while. I've checked furnitureindex and googled and checked all my books but I've not found anything.
I'm maybe making an assumption that they are Danish, there are no visible maker's marks although I think they have been reupholstered and I can't see under the seat without removing the fabric. The person I bought them from seemed to think his father had them since the 40s, which seems a little unlikely to me but I could be wrong. They seem to be good quality with nice detail on the armrests.
Any ideas gratefully appreciated!

That's a really
nice design. I could imagine living with them for a lifetime without getting weary of them. Comfortable, I would expect -- the arms as a given (not a luxury reserved for the Lord and Lady) are good. There's a certain kinship with Wegner's best-known chair ?
Today we might think of making the curved piece as a bent lamination ? The inserts in the ends are probably a structural move intended to strengthen the short grain there . . . especially as the front leg penetrates at that point.

It is a comfortable chair, although the seat isn't that deep so not for everyone I guess. Yes I see the similarities to Wegner round chair, it also seems that this configuration of legs & curved back is quite common in Danish design.
