Herman Miller Aluminium Group Chair Frame Color - in Purple?

Hello all,I saw an Aluminum Group Chair in an auction site, which the chair frame include the arm rest and the base are all in deep purple colour, i enquired the seller and he said the chair is all original from Herman Miller. Can anyone help to identify if Herman Miller make this colour? Here is the picture of the chair Thanks!Wilson

Some call it "plum" or "aubergine". Not sure about production date range. I always assumed it was a '70's thing, but maybe earlier?

Yeah, I had a set of six that had the plum bases. Original from Herman Miller with production date in the mid 80s.
