I would just call it a mid-century modern lounge chair, armless. These were popular in the US in that era, mostly just kind of generic designs offered by furniture makers who did a range of styles, I think. Technically a lounge chair with no arms is called a slipper chair, or maybe a slipper chair has a skirted base, I don't know for sure.
I guess it could fit under the umbrella of "bedroom chair" (or boudoir chair)---a smaller scale armless upholstered chair, often with e slightly lower seat height.
