I recently bought this coffee table from a gentleman who said the original owner was an artist who bought the table in the 1970's. I love the deisgn so I am very OK with the wear and tear. I have seen similar construction techniques in Danish Modern pieces (veneer, etc.); however nothing quite like the overall design. I am wondering if anyone has a clue about origin, era, maker. Thank you. (Please excuse the photo setting - on a tarp in my garage).

Looks homemade to me. The top is constructed of too many individual pieces to be a production piece

It's a nice coffee table. I saw something similar on ... (edited by DA - link removed) . And it really looks like a homemade. If you like it then it doesn't matter who was the owner.

I saw one on craigslist, I THINK in Eugene, Or? If that is not this one then maybe it is a production item? Just couldn't bring myself to pick it up for some reason.
