Armless Lounge Chair
Seems as if the OP's question was never answered. Wanted to get folks opinion on refurbish as well. I wanted a lounge chair of this style and found one for sale without cushions which made it less expensive. My seamstress mother can help me with cushions. Photos attached. It is a walnut version of the OP's sectional and is armless. It appears to me that the small "dowel" on the armless side, also replicated on both sides of my armless lounger, is there for support. That support would be provided by the arm on that particular side of the OP's couch/chair. Mine does not have a Danish medalion on it.
And yes, Plato again, doing his first inspection.
Apologies, the photos are in an external link.
Question: Walnut chair. Will refinish with oil finish, unless someone knows what finish was on there originally. What type or texture of material would be appropriate for that time. I don't necessarily need it be, for instance, I could go with black leather or pleather if I go cheap, but wanted to know if someone did.
The original rubber webbing and dowels are there (see last photo). But, they are in fact very hardened. No longer elastic in any way. Will contact fagasstraps.com for replacements. I was thinking about a Knoll Classic Boucle like that done here:

probably in that color as well. Thoughts? I have never done this before, and no, still have not embarked on the Moller 78s that I purchased in the spring, but I have all the materials. Wife is pressuring.
Thanks in advance for any consideration/thoughts/guidance.

Just stumbled across this old thread looking for something else, and thought (for future search reference) that I'd post a link to another recent thread that provides a vintage advertisement confirming Kofod-Larsen as the designer of this frame style.
