Help to ID this vintage Mid Century Modern wall unit?  

I recently picked up this mid-century modern style wall unit. I think it's beautiful and I have never seen the type of system before. Al of a sudden I found a second one at the thrift store, which of course I could not pass up.
There appear to be no maker's marks, but the suspension is very special. You have to use pins, to hang the shelves and cabinets in the uprights.
Does anyone know who designed this cabinet? Or maybe the country where it's from? Factory? Any guidance in identifying this wall unit would be appreciated!
