Hi,

I just bought this lamp in a marche aux puces in switzerland, and was wondering if anyone could help me ID it.
I search on the internet, and found lamps by Karl Trabert that are very similar, but not quite...the lamp shade has a slightly different shape. Could it be an imitation? Anyway, it looks quite old.
Any help would be welcome!

Thank you.

Hi,
Thank you for your ans...
Hi,
Thank you for your answers.
I don't think it's B.A.G because the ones I have seen that were produced by BAG are from Karl trabert and are differently shaped.
I bought the lamp in geneva in the local flea market... but the owner didn't know anything about it.. it cost me 40 chf which is about 30 euros.

BAG
There's no proof that Karl Trabert designed his iconic table lamp for BAG, Turgi, same as there's no proof that Christian Dell ever designed a series of lamps for Belmag, Zurich.
We merely accept it to be so.
Your lamp could be either Belmag or BAG.
It's all in the details.
If you could please upload some detail pics perhaps I or another could be of further assistance.

Hi, Meg
The reason why I asked is because more than half of the dealers at the Plainpalais are from France. They hop over the border on Wednesdays and Saturdays because they can get more for their stuff in CH than in FR.
Do you live near Geneva? I am in Lausanne. Are you going to Le Landeron this weekend? It's worth the trip.

Hey riki,
I live in Geneve, Swiss lighting is my thing, specifically Belmag, BAG Turgi and Alfred Muller/ AMBA.
Yeah Le Landeron is good but Aarberg is possibly the best of the country brocants.
I'll visit Le Landeron on Thursday not chance on Friday.
