looks to be very new
as the push lock on the clock, use of glass shelves and cabinet door fixtures so try and search furniture index but stick the period to 1980s

I thought the same thing but...
I thought the same thing with the hardware but the light power cord looks much older than the 80's. That's what's throwing me off. Thanks so much for the great info. Simon!!!!

just checked out the furniture index and there's nothing in any of the various time periods, even the 80's. Guess it might stay a mystery..Thanks for the help though Simon.

My first thought was that it ...
My first thought was that it is from a Scan store. They sold a lot of stuff like this in the 70s and 80s---made in Denmark, sort of Danish Modern in style but not especially noteworthy as far as design.
I saw a similar clock at an auction once. It didn't have any marks or labels either, just a Made in Denmark stamp.

I know everything you could want to know about this clock.
This clock was mine....I know the stain on the bottom shelf (and what made it) and the knots. It was removed by my insurance company after my house flooded from a broken water softener. They said it was "lost" and never returned it...... seriously long story. It came from Copenhagen and has traveled the world. Somewhere I have pictures of it. Anyway, would love to fill in all the details if you are still interested.

Wait a minute. You're saying ...
Wait a minute. You're saying this clock, this same clock not just this model, disappeared after your insurance company got a hold of it?
I'd like to hear from the original poster of this thread how she acquired it.

I lived in Las Vegas Nevada at the time I purchased this clock. I had just bought my first home (a condo and the year was 1980) and my dad was helping me furnish it. I LOVE danish modern and had picked out a bedroom set when the sales guy said he had this clock that had been a special order from Copenhagen, but the people that ordered it decided they didn't want it. My dad thought it was perfect for me since I was never on time for anything.
I loved that clock, even when my kitty peed on the bottom shelf and I didn't notice it right away because I had a vase there (the round stain) and I never could get it completely out since it was just a veneer. I moved to Europe in 1987 and traveled all over (yes with the clock in tow) and it was always a focal point in my living room and one of my favorite pieces. Everyone always commented on it and I loved it. In 1992 I moved back to the States... this time San Antonio Texas. There I bought a wonderful old house and my clock took it's place against the wall next to the stairs.
In 1994, as I said earlier, my house was flooded when a water line broke that was going to my water softener. My downstairs was destroyed and it had to be torn to the studs and redone. My insurance company had movers come and take all of my furniture and repair what could be repaired and replace what couldn't be. Well, the insurance company was not pleased when they had to start paying for pieces I had bought in Europe and we ended up in a long legal battle over the bed room set and that clock. The only way to replace my bedroom set was to order it custom made from Copenhagen however, they no longer could make the clock. I said I would take back my clock as it was, but at this point the insurance company said they no longer had it... it had been lost. They tried to say it had been returned to me, but it never was. This whole ordeal ended up costing the insurance company a little over $200,000 in replacements. They were not pleased and of course dropped me after this.
I never got my clock back... as you can tell from this post. I never forgot it and have always missed it. My dad passed away a few years back, and I have moved to Belize. They have some of the most amazing woods here and I was telling a carpenter friend of mine about my clock and how I would love to have one built like it, but out of the local woods. He told me to see if I could find a picture of it..... imagine my surprise when I found this post in my search. It actually brought tears to my eyes when I saw the stain on that bottom shelf. I'm glad to see it still look beautiful and hope it has a home where it is appreciated.
Oh, and thanks to this post, I am having a new one built.
