hello Addicts, I'm a bit lost with identifying this two lounge chairs. I bought them in northern Italy, and the owner had no idea of their provenience (they were from some relatives that passed away, that also had six Ico Parisi Colombo chairs, but he knew nothing about these two).they don't seem in the manner of italian designers of that period. they seem much more "nordic", nothing but their locations suggests that they were made in italy. I attach the pictures (please notice that the cushions were newly made). I would be very grateful if you could help me with some suggestions.The chairs are unmarked, but their strucure (with visible screws) remind me about some 40es forniture from Klaus Grabe (the one he portrayed in the book "build your own modern furniture")

Unfortunately I have no information to help you out, but I would like to commend you on a well-written ID request. It shows that you have actually put both thought and effort into it already and are posting as a last resort. There are many "what is this?" posters here who could follow your example. Good luck in your search. Hopefully someone on here will be of some assistance.

It's true, I tried as hard as I could... I've even asked some qualified dealers but they are specialized in italian furniture and they say they don't look like any iconic italian chair, but that, according to the design and the quality, they should have been made by a qualified designer.

Last attempt: I also found this other armchair by Klaus Grabe that has very similar-built arms (screws and expecially wood manufacturing), I enclose pictures.
Is it just me or there is some similarity?
Even if it's hard to make a guess, which are your impressions about these two chairs?

I don't know much about Dutch design, but having a look to the main designers I find nothing similar.
Maybe Swiss? They lived quite close to switzerland.
but the strange mark to me are these visible screws: in italian design they were used, to my knowledge, only by Carlo Mollino (i.e. Gilda chair) but toghether with much more bent-shaped design.
Of course it's highly improbable (let' say impossible) that they are some prototype by Tapiovaara, Grabe or even Molino, but these are the only comparisons I can make. They are extremely well made, and with a quite unconventional shape, so that's why I think they should be of some qualified designer and not just a common pair of "mid century easy chairs"...
