I just came across these chairs, I haven't seen them before. I tried to find a match, while I managed to find similar none were actually identical. Anyone else seen them before? I'm not purchasing them, just curious! They're a bit too industrial for me!

Does anyone else think maybe the bases have been added later? The bolts through the chairs seem odd.....

They're by Lawrence Minsker for Fritz Hansen, 1983.

Thanks Andrew! They're odd, I like them but I don't like them. It's the first time I've come across them!

Yes, not Fritz Hansen's greatest moment. I believe they were originally manufactured by Danerka in the 1960s and 1970s, and that Fritz Hansen manufactured them for a few years in the mid-80s. Not sure they're still made anymore (certainly not by FH), but Lawrence Minsker still seems to be around and contactable. http://www.minsker.com/
