I know, another one of these threads! I just had to verify, and I figure this is one of the best places to do so.I picked up 6 of these chairs which came out of a restaurant in the greater Seattle area (there are more). 2 of the 6 have bolts/screws in the back rest (other than that they are the same, you can see them in the background). All are unstamped, and unmarked.I've been doing some research on the LCW chairs and it appears that some local schools could have purchased lots? I was thinking that the chairs really do feel old, and show signs of wear from age. I wouldn't be surprised if they were from the 40's or 50's.Is there any way I can tell their authenticity, or if they're just old replicas? Let me know if we need additional pictures to tell.

At least in the pix they don't look old, especially the finish looks like a lacquer finish that recent productions use. Also they're DCW's rather than LCW's. The round shock mounts also suggest more recent productions. It's hard to judge from the pix but my intuition is they're replicas.

Nope.  Not old.  Edges and finishes too clean for that.  They look like knock-offs to me . . .

Seat/back thickness/shape is immediate dead giveaway that they are fakes.

It's a knock-off.

Notice the nice tight bends of the spine in the original.  Note also the subtleties of, for instance, the side view of the back panel.  And, it's no coincidence that the side edges of the seat are perfectly parallel to the floor.  Good design looks good on paper as well as  in photos . . .
