Hi all,
Picked up this teak dining table up today. It has a metal Danish Control medallion.
I'm having some issues identifying the designer, etc... One thing I found rather unique (at least for me) was how the leaves can be pulled out. Check out the round sculpted pulls on each side of the leaves - where a person is meant to pull out the leaf with their fingers. I've not seen this before. Typically there is a carved out pull under the leaf.
I've attached a few pics. Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks & Cheers!

It's definitely a unique way to pull out the leaves...that I've not seen before.
I'll have to get some additional photos of the underside. What I can tell you is that the wood was lighter in colour with nice grain patterns and it was solid. The runners that hold the leaves into place and slide them out were actually thicker than average, rounded/shaped vs. the standard square cut and of a much better quality than what I see with other teak tables. I guess what I am getting at...is that the underside looked well made.
I have one pic of the Danish Control Stamp - see attached. And stay tuned for more pics when I can get to it.
Also struggling with how to define this extension mechanism when searching. The round sculpted pulls are perfect size for a finger to fit and easily pull. I'll keep searching.
Thanks Leif!
One observation: attaching a Danish furniture control medallion with two nails is not common. So if you can find some companies that did that, you might be able to narrow your search a lot.
I am not saying that this is the work of Poul Jeppesen, but I did a brief search and one of his pieces came up with these two nails.
