Chair ID please  

Okay, I picked up 5 of these chairs recently and they are in horrible shape but for some reason I had to have them. Anyways, I knew immediately they weren't Eames, I thought maybe Luther Conover. Let me describe the chairs a little and maybe someone will know. They all have this exposed mesh texture throughout. On the backs of the shell the texture is smoother and discolored in spots compared to the actual seat. I can't figure out if someone sanded these down to the mesh and then left them exposed to the elements or if something else is going on with them. Or....were they supposed to be like this? Has anyone ever seen this happen to a shell chair? Any info will help.
