Hi,
I have recently treated myself with a beautiful CH36 chair (Hans Wegner for Carl Hansen). I know that a single chair is not worth much but only one was available and I couldn't resist...
The chair has its original label (silver paper sticker) and as I wanted to put a production year on it, I've contacted Carl Hansen.
Here is what I have learned:
There is a short reference code inscribed on the chair. Mine is "FK64". The two letters stand for the worker who produced the chair (initials maybe?) and the two numbers are the production year.
In my case, it means that the chair was produced by FK in 1964.
I am probably explaining the obvious here but I thought it might be useful for someone someday...
PS: sorry for the bad pictures.
