Hi Gang,
I've had this killer lounge & ottoman for years but am unable to ID the manufacturer. There is a small silver decal on the underside of the chair, but any info has completely faded or been worn away. There are no other markings anywhere on the chair. It's definitely nothing high-end, more of department store quality.
The seat is one-piece molded black plastic with white vinyl cushions on cast aluminum base, ottoman is white vinyl on same base.
I have tried Ebay and other online resources many times with no luck, any information is appreciated!

It looks like a Robin Day design, where in the world are you?

Oklahoma City, USA. I had another one of these in the 1990s with a tilt option, of course I don't recall any maker info at all.

I am familiar with Mr. Day, but was completely unaware of anything he did in this style. After the heads up from H.Moon (thanks!) I did a little online research, Day's "Easy Chair" and "4-4000" are pretty much identical to this. However, with no markings I am unable to tell if it's the real deal or a copy, anyone have suggestions about what to look for to indicate authenticity?

I would
expect it to have the Hille mark impressed somewhere, but that said, I've only seen the 4-4000 on a round swivel base, nit a four-legged base.. hmm
[edit}
Yes, the round silver decal would have been for Hille of London most likely.

I went back and looked for...
I went back and looked for any markings, there is "FP42/10" stamped in white on the base plate. I found an ad for Polymon Developments featuring the chair and its Formid ABS plastic (see pics), could "FP42/10" be a Polymon code?
About the base: according to the Hille site they offered three bases including aluminum star base (see pics).
