Can any one help me identify this chair? It is very well made, looks to me like teak (I could be wrong). It is a very sturdy, well made chair which makes me think it is a designer piece. The curved back reminds me of "the chair". there are 2 cushions for it. Any held would be appreciated. -Doug
There are 5 different pics, just copy each link and paste into your address bar. Thanks, Doug

The cushions are older, they smell like mothballs, and the stitching is dry and brittle. They do look as though they were made as replacements. -Doug

checked that, nothing found....
checked that, nothing found. Hoped the way the seat support was done would give it away to someone, being that it is unique.

I have two of these, beautiful, comfortable, chairs. Does anyone know where I can get new cushions to replace the old, or should I get them made? what fabric/color would you use?

Get them remade. They look...
Get them remade. They look like they would be simple and you could take the old ones as a template. They would look great in Alexander Girard Millerstripe!

The back cushion
does not seem to me to fit the chair at all. I would expect to see a lower and perhaps thinner one, possibly shaped to reflect the shape of the chair.
Of course, comfort should play a part in the shaping of the upholstered elements !

Folke Ohlson Dux Chair
The chair appears to definitely be made by Dux of Sweden. I believe it was designed by Folke Ohlson, the president of the company. I sold many of them in my store. The frame was one of the most beautiful frames designed in that period. We sold it in solid walnut. It was a high end product and you should keep it.

Agree with Whitespike
Alexander Girard Millerstripe by Maharam would be great looking on these chairs... The MOCA in LA has several Herman Miller Compact Sofas upholstered in Millerstripe in the basement... It's my favorite place to hang out when I visit there...
