google has all the answers; but this kind of sounds like a covert attempt at marketing of this contemporary chair... but google says it was sold by John Lewis in UK... I doubt it was ever available outside there and seems to have been discontinued. You might be able to find a similar style chair at other contemporary stores that have similar "mid century inspired" stuff.

No it wasn't a covert attempt to market anything. I have a client who found this image online and I was trying to track down any info on it other than what Google has.
