Hello,
I bought today this teak table. It is marked with "Made in Denmark" and with the Søborg Møbler logo.
I think this is a Børge Mogensen table. Does anbyody can confirm this and does anyody know which model it is.
Any more nformation about the table would be appreciated.
Regards

Molasse

There is a very similar soborg coffee table attributed to Mogensen in furniture index:

I have one of these other similar coffee tables that is definitely Børge Mogensen. I would assume yours is an alternate version of it.
I have Søborg catalogs for: 52, 54, 58, 62, 66. Mine is only in the 58 catalog, and the Fredericia Furniture fair images on the DFI are from 56, so I would guess your table had a short production run somewhere between all those catalogs.
How tall is your table?

Hello,
thanks for the information.
Here the table size in centimeters:
Width: 51cm
Depth: 165cm
Height: 52cm
What is you recommendation to clean and care about the teak surface?

Here is another fairly reliable source saying it is Mogensen, and saying it was designed in 1952. It isn't in the 52 catalog, but then it probably would first appear in the '53 catalog. It also is not in the '54 catalog, so perhaps it was only out for one year.
A short production run, and low sales would account for the small number of these that exist. Also, the lack of accompanying living room furniture (sofas, lounge chairs, etc).
The table is solid teak. So you can sand it without great concern. But probably scrubbing it with teak oil and steel wool would work.
