Hey all. Found this today and am a bit stumped. Looks like some American knockoff of a Sven Ivar Dysthe design? The pocket screws, etc. Have only found one other, which appears to be in Teak, but it's only an image and I can't find the actual link to it. This looks like Oak to me, but could it be stained Teak? I'm thinking not, because the plywood back appears to be Walnut. So I'm guessing a Walnut finish on the chair frame. Hmmm. It's comfortable, just needs refinished. Any ideas are super. Thanks.
Well now that I see some closer shots, the I don't think it is elm. Not really sure what it is. Something with very open grain like oak. Maybe Ash, Hickory, Oak. Don't know.
The pocket hole joints with Phillips head screws and that piece of hardware to adjust the tilt angle very much remind me of Thayer Coggin. The styling is also quite plausible for the designer who collaborated with Thayer Coggin.
