"BOW 234 Made in Canada"

I've come across these awesome chairs but can't identify them. They're seemingly moulded but aren't as hard as typical fibreglass shells -- they're hard but there's still nice give to their edges because the plastic is a bit "squishy" if I can use that very technical term. 😉 The seat surface is textured and bumpy. The underside of the seat surface is smooth.

As you can see from the pics, the four legs are chrome. At their tips, there are tiny pivoting feet (for surface-adjustment), and the whole seat itself swivels 360 degrees.

The last pic is of the only mark I can find on them. It reads "BOW" in a little bow-tie-shaped outline, then "Made in Canada" and finally "234". I have five of these units and they're identical (so "234" isn't a production number like x of y, for example).

Any answers as to provenance (designer, age) would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone has info on BOW -- as who I assume is the manufacturer -- I'm curious to know more about them too.
