Bought these from a neighborhood yard sale over the weekend. They have the look of 1940's with no markings or tags. One very interesting feature of these is the backrest two joining solid brass balls swivel mechanism. Your help to identify these is very much appreciated.

Thank you Leif Ercson, you nailed it...! It is Sigvard Bernadotte Teak Lounge Armchair for France & Daverkosen. I bought these from an immigrant family from Europe here in California. I think the reason it does not have the brass signature plate of the importer is because they brought these themselves around sixty years ago. One thing that puzzles me is that that there are no other signs underneath. Thanks again.
It is very unusual that it is unmarked. Early France and Daverkosen had physically impressed stamps. Some are hard to see in low light. Are you very certain it is not marked?
Could the mark have been sanded off at some point? Which is to ask, is there any evidence of significant sanding on the chairs!
it is extraordinarily rare for France and Daverkosen/Søn stuff to be unmarked. Almost unheard of. And it would have been marked even if it was sold in the Danish market.
Many Danish factory pieces were inconsistently marked, but not France pieces. (Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that Charles France was English, not Danish.)
Thank you Leif Ericson for detailed and very informative feedback on these chairs. I did check again and there are no sings of old marking. One thing for sure, they are very old and match to the last detail to the ones that are posted online. You could be correct in your assessment that these are anomaly. thanks again
