Does this look American made to you, or is it something else?

It is really light weight but solid. No markings anywhere.

It is walnut, and that corner blocking looks very American. So, on second thought, I think it is American. I had a sectional sofa once that looked like it might have been made by the same company. Same 45 degree angle slots for holding rubber webbing. And same corner blocks. Never did figure out for sure who made it.

Danish it may be inspired by but as the chair is a solid construction, not knock-down, it would suggest that it has been produced in the home market.
Most Danish chairs were designed with exports in mind and thus were knock-down to maximise the volume in transport.
The wood is difficult to tell just from the pictures but it appears a walnut rather than teak.
