I can't seem to find anything on these chairs. They are not labeled but one chair has written on its cambric, "Corning Glass" in black upholsterer's chalk. I'm told that they were made for the Corning Glass headquarters in NY. The script is very old school looking and original. They appear to be American made, constructed of solid Mahogany with brass fasteners. Everything is beautifully done and finished, evocative of Dunbar workmanship. They even have a carved and ebonized detail on all the leg tips. I would love to know if anyone has seen anything that seems related to these chairs. Thanks in advance for any clues to their origin.

Wow. Nice find! My guess is custom or semi-custom limited production.
I'd start with the company archives. You never know. Archivists are an eclectic bunch. They're paid to dig and some live for just this kind of offbeat inquiry. You might get lucky.
Good luck and please keep us posted!
