For at least 25 years I have owned four (metal) swivel chairs from the 1960s. I have no idea who designed them. I have asked a number of experts in the Netherlands but no one knows this design.
I once bought these chairs (incl. table - possibly Eero Saarinen -) in Rotterdam. I think that shop was called "Loods 11 or 13". This shop no longer exists.
The chairs have some resemblance to the "Tulip Chair" by E. Saarinen. However, the round, circular backrest differs and the round base with a groove does not match either. The seller emphasized at the time that the chairs were designed by a Dutch designer. Perhaps someone can tell me who designed this chair.
@dutchdesign1960 Please try and post a picture. It must be smaller than 2mb, otherwise it doesn't appear. Expert for Dutch design is @wesemael. Maybe he can already make something out of the description?
