To me...
it looks very 90's. Those pastel, and off the wall colors were huge then. They were used on Swatch watches, telephones, skateboards, clothes, and art everywhere. The light colored wood looks like something bland the 90's would have used, and the gloss black crank looks very new. Like something that would have been used in Saved By The Bell, or related to the talking chair from Pee Wee's Playhouse. It's cool really. Be cooler if it talked like Pee Wee's chair. You could ask it. It might answer you. Then chase you all around the deck for waking it up.
