Hi all, I got this sofa, kind of a pickled oak frame, very thick weave wool upholstery, looks like Frank Stella. Upholstery tag knoll international, knoll associates label underneath, upon which the date of manufacture: August 3 1973. Looks a bit scarpa, but it's not, can anyone give me any info? Thanks, pals.

So what was it? I just looked through the big yellow Knoll Textiles book and didn't see that fabric anywhere in the section that covered up to 1974. The fabric is wonderful! I hope it's in good shape and that you can keep it.

The sofa is part of the contract seating for Knoll by Jim Eldon. The op (optical, more Vasalery-esque than Stella-ish) heavy weave fabric is amazing. If the upholstery is part of the Knoll textiles line and if it could be identified, that's a very nice find.
The upholstery looks clean from the photo and should clean up very well. The Dyson is very good at this before using any mild liquid upholstery cleaner.

Hello! I have a matching set sofas in that same fabric (no wood trim) with August 29, 1973 on the tag underneath. Original Knoll hardware. Fabric is in perfect condition. I am trying to determine what their value might be. Please let me know if you have obtained any additional information about your piece. Thank you!

Jlvander,
You appear to have a Pfister Settee (not a sofa).
You now know the designer name and correct designation of you piece and you should be free to do your own homework to determine pricing. As per the "guidelines" this is not a valuation service.
