Hello all
Recently acquired this bar cabinet but struggling to identify it. The original owner purchased it in Scandinavia in the 1960s. It lived most of its life in England after which it was sent to the United States upon the original owners death. I purchased it from the grandchildren. It is made of solid teak, it has the makers marks in pencil on the drawers for perfect fit. Had a small tag on the wooden back. It is sturdy but delicate....most interested to identify designer and country of origin....
Can anyone help?
See photos attached.
Thanks in advance.

More photos would be helpful, say of the back, underside, perhaps those drawers.
And it is not solid teak. The whole thing is teak veneer over some substrate. Veneer work made Danish modern possible. It would not be possible to make those doors from solid teak slabs and have them function properly. They would expand and contract and warp, not to mention the complications of figuring out how to attach the inner shelves.
I can't tell you who made it, but if you want to know what this bar cabinet looks like after a beautification with stickers of all sorts, here you go: http://www.lauritz.com/sv/auktion/barskab-af-teak-1950-erne-dansk-moebel...

Came accross the same bar cabinet for sale in the UK. I asked the seller were there any markings anywhere.
The image of the mark was added to the listing, which I have posted below ,for the record.

Yes, totally different that Carl Hansen. What the name is saying is that it is THE furniture factory in Brenderup Denmark and it is owned by a gentleman named Carl Hansen and his sons (plural). It appears that the larger town in the area was a danish town whose name I am particularly fond of: Middlefart.
As cdsilva dug up the founders were: Hans Carl Rasmus Hansen and Kjeld Dyreborg Hansen. Mogens Dyreborg Hansen was one of the sons and he retired in 1958.
Very nice thread indeed! I may add a version of this cabinet in rosewood. Finnish anyone? http://www.unikuleaborg.fi/product/510/60-luvun-baarikaappi
