| How bad is the ding? Find a... How bad is the ding? Find a piece of wood that is rounded on one end. Then slowly push out the dent. Make sure the area you are pushing out is laying flat against something hard. This this to prevent you pushing through to the opposite side. I tried this several times and it has worked. It won't look 100% like new but it won't look as bad. | |||||

| ding ding ding!!! arm shell with a stacking base???? My skin curled. Why would someone adhere shockmounts in a wide mount configuration to an arm shell? Do you think the shell is simply sitting on the base as a prop for the picture? | |||||

| Ding...ding..ding...ding ! I think we have a winner here,!!!! Oh fantastic! Last week he was won of the designers I researched, but could not find these chairs. On Decopedia it shows just the side chair in a lighter sling material which I am guessing is leather as well. I think you are correct as to whom designed these and thank you so very much for clarifying this. I have three arm chairs and I felt that they were important not only because of the style, but because they are extremely well constructed! | |||||

| discounts I purchased an authentic 5' Nelson bench a couple of years ago from an online dealer of HM stuff--they have a "discount area" in which some things like open box items or with a slight ding sell for about 20 percent off. That is another possible avenue to take. | |||||

| Thonet Bent Ply Dining Chairs | 2 Relevance | 15 years ago | flyingpatricio | General discussion | |
| I "rescued" these Thonet Bent Ply chairs from a yard sale today. They look to have been stored in a barn for years. Structurally still good. I cleaned them with Murphy's oil soap and removed the paint rubs with citrus strip cleaner. Once I rub them down with some Watco I'll decide whether I want to refinish them. With how dinged up they are I think just rejuvenating the existing finish will do. | |||||

| Hi dingo Thanks for your reply I have now written my money off. I emailed the police and received a reply informing to contact trading standards or make a claim through the small claims court. I have followed the process with trading standards, they have now informed me to make a claim through the small claims court. I feel that I would be throwing more money away by making a claim. If anyone has any other suggestions or have been successful please share with me the process you followed. Thanks S | |||||

| Well done dingo Just wanted to congratulate you on getting your refund, it has given me a bit of motivation to start the battle. I have been following your thread but to embarrassed to comment as I foolishly paid for my goods by cheque. I am going to file a fraud report to the police today, did you have to take out a small claim against them?? as I have been in contact with consumers direct and that is the advice i have been given. | |||||
