| Povl dinesen was a Danish furniture distributor that exported to US (and I assume other countries). I have once of their catalogs and other ancillary sales materials...great stuff. | |||||
| Could this have been made by Povl Dinesen of Denmark? | 2 Relevance | 15 years ago | Caco | General discussion | |
| Could this have been made by Povl dinesen of Denmark? I found a table extremely similar to this one stamped Povl dinesen Cabinet Makers of Denmark. The legs and bottom structure look different and better built on mine. The shape of the top is almost identical. It is curved almost like a surfboard, not straight just like one of the photos there. http://www.1stdibs.com/furniture_item_detail.php?id=367891 | |||||

| Hi folks, I'm trying to ID this double bed with a Povl dinesen label. The posts are wacky and I haven't seen anything like it. Any thoughts would be very appreciated! Casey Attachment: 245988043_4544361698976296_1968819032666187198_n.jpg | |||||

| ... of danish modern furniture the things going on in 1945, 1950, 1955, 1960, 1965, and 1970 were very distinct. I would certainly err later rather than earlier with a guess in this chair. (Also, I believe we know that Erik Buck’s model 49 side chair was not designed in 1949. It was designed in 1957 as I recall and it was first made by cabinetmaker Povl dinesen. It would be absolutely shocking if it were designed in 1949). The names for danish furniture companies of the era follow a logic that is their own. It can be easy to look from the outside with an out ... | |||||

| Hi, I have several pieces from POVL dineson 1963. I am trying to figure out the designers and what they are worth. My father is the original owner, purchased in Wiesbaden. I am attaching some very poorly taken photos by me (I am not a photographer, obviously) lol. I am pretty sure the sideboard/hutch is Arne Vodder but not sure about any of the other pieces. Any help is greatly appreciated. Pamala Attachment: IMG_5226.jpg | |||||

| Need help to identify this Frem Rojle dining set | 2 Relevance | 17 years ago | luluhotrod | General discussion | |
| I have been told it may be an early prototype. Chairs tuck under table like the famous Hans Olsen dinette, and the chairs are identical to his four legged versions, except for the backrest is not curved. All pieces, including the table with the butterfly leaf, are stamped Frem Rojle. Has anyone ever seen a set like this before? Does anyone know if Frem Rojle still exists and how to contact the company if they do? I appreciate any and all comments. .php#browse | |||||
