| Digsmed Spice Jars Hi - I just broke one of my straight bottles (Grrrrr). I'd be willing to try the Spikes Seasoning Jars - but what size fits? If any one has either 1 of the straight ones or 4 of the other type I'd be more than willing to pay. Thanks and I'm so glad I stumbled upon this site! dgp my e-mail is dgp7272 at aol.com | |||||

| Why this thread digressed to cars. Turbo11 the original poster in a subsequent post contrasted his loyalty to a brand (Porsches) where cars are concerned, but not to modern furniture, although he is coming around. That then lead to the wonderful area of design concerning fine automobiles. And as LRF so perfectly put it, "I think we can all agree talking about mid century modern furniture is great (my favorite topic) but it really does get a little boring talking about the same old same old and boring repoductions that we all agree are out of control with t h ... | |||||

| re: Replacement Jar for digsmed spice wheel I have a digsmed spice wheel and I am missing one (1) jar. I would be happy to pay for the replacement and shipping so I can use this again in my kitchen. Thanks for your kindness in a response. My spice wheel is from the 1960s and the jars are the straight sided ones. Missing just one and really I am missing it! Thanks, Michele | |||||

| I have replaced jars on two digsmed spice racks. The best replacements (for the straight cylinder jars without any embossed dots or jar tapering) are the Spike spice jars. In the U.S., you can buy them either on Amazon or Whole Foods. Not sure about European availability. Hopefully they match the jar style of your father's rack. | Hi there, I have just acquired a 1960s digsmed rotating spice rack, but it is missing 2 spice jars. They are the straight sided type. And the metal part that the jar screws into is also missing for one of them. I would be very grateful to hear from anybody with spares or for any tips on possible substitutes. thanks | |||||

| Dear digups... Not withstanding the value of the rest of your information, Franke is not a Dutch company but a Swiss company founded in 1911 in Aarburg by Hermann Franke...Ik hoop dat die rechtzetting niets wegneemt van het plezier dat je blijkbaar hebt aan de Franke keuken. | |||||

| digups... that is a wonderful kitchen cabinet and counter set up! I really like it. It seems so simple at first, but it is fascinating the way all the rectangles are composed into a larger rectangle. This is one of those examples of design that reminds me how scalar self-similarity can make even the simplest forms hold together, form a patterned integrity that works on the eye without the eye knowing it. Thanks for the pic. | |||||

| digups Once upon a time, before I was extremely well versed with designers, I considered these Kramer pieces to be an inferior nod to Prouve. I had a great opportunity to buy a parge table and 8 dining chairs like this. I don't remember the price, but it was dumb low. I passed it up. I feel silly. I really like these. | |||||

| ... i just finished having them re welded and powder coated (they look great) I saw one of the heavy dudes leaning back i went over, did not hesitate and told him in my nicest and calm voice to please do not lean back as that chair can not stand your extra weight as it is over 50 years old and just off life supports , and i would not want to see you on the concrete as we have rather poor health care insurance and could not afford for you to have a broken back on our property ... | Dijay, I resized the image... Dijay, I resized the image you originally had in your post so people can see it. Anyhow, it doesnt look like pottery to me. It looks more like some kind of silicone rubber and plastic. Perhaps a medical device of some kind? Maybe for CPR training? . | |||||
