| Teak Table - Peter Hvidt or Harry Østergaard | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | Lange | Identification | |
| ... with Randers. At the end of the day, I don't think it much matters, but just wondering if the table is more likely to be Harry Østergaard since it has the Randers stamp. Is there a difference in quality between the two manufacturers? Is there a difference in value based on the designer? Thanks a lot. Lange | |||||
| Questions about PP Møbler and Wegner's Round Chair | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | NULL NULL | General discussion | |
| ... The first thing I wondered was how much PP's authorized Round Chair goes for. The apparent answer shocked me. I haven't seen prices listed on US sites, but the following UK firm lists the pp501 for £3,815 and the pp503 for £3,010 (or roughly $4,600-5,900 in USD using an fx rate of $1.54/gbp). http://twentytwentyone.com/products/furniture/side-armchairs#order=0&type=0&designer=122&manufacturer=0 Those prices are astonishing on an absolute basis, but what really struck me is the price difference between these PP chairs and other authorized makers of Wegne ... | |||||
| Saridis and Robsjohn-Gibbings | 1 Relevance | 13 years ago | NULL NULL | General discussion | |
| I am doing some research on the Greek line Robsjohn-Gibbings designed for Saridis of Anthens. Does anyone out there know whether the line is still in production today? Or discontinued after 90s? I heard the former but couldn't find any information online to confirm it. There doesn't seem to be a web site for the current Saridis company at all not mentioning what pieces they still make. I am curious of telling the difference between the vintage pieces made in 60s and some pieces attributed to 90s production. Thanks in advance. | |||||

| Look at the difference in cushions on these two. http://tinyurl.com/ktnl2lk http://tinyurl.com/mlal5xp Is this just an aging patina thing? Are all new ones as "busting at the seams" while the only ones look crinkly? | |||||
| Herman Miller Eames Lounger Shock Mount repairs | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | davealoha | General discussion | |
| Last year I sent my 1970's Herman Miller Eames Lounge Chair to Herman Miller for replacement of the shock mounts (all four). One of my shock mounts disconnected from the plywood shell with (fortunately) no damages. When I called Herman Miller I asked them specifically how they were going to do the repair and the answer I was given two separate times was that they would remove each shock mount and clean off any residual glue on the plywood then adhere the new shock mount to the respective shells. I was fairly familiar with the method as I also read about h ... | |||||
| PK 71: Question on Poul Kjaerholm technical difference on EKC en FH | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | mfb | General discussion | |
| Dear all, I have a view pieces from PK that are produced by E Kold C en Fritz Hansen. I noticed on my last purchase that my tables are from 2007 and obviously from Fritz Hansen the crafting is not so nice. As you can see in pictures. I also see this in their official pictures. Any comments? The EKC are better I guess?? Greetings Martijn | |||||
| Can anyone tell me more about my Selig (IKL?) lounge chair? | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | NULL NULL | Identification | |
| ... the vertical wood slat backrest. There is also a difference in the shape of the armrest--mine have a sort of "dip" near the back while the example chair is straight. Selig definitely did sell chairs with the springy cable backrest: Clearly the rest of that chair is quite different. This chair has a similarly shaped armrest but a caned backrest: https://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/seating/lounge-chairs/danish-modern-lounge-chair-ib-kofod-larsen-selig/id-f_954292/ So I'm not really sure what to think. See links and pictures. The final is a pic of my chair and one of the prober chairs side-by-side. I find them to be identical, with the exception of the cushion, and my cushion is original. Before anyone tells me that 1stdibs is incredibly overpriced, I already know that. I'm am only using these listings for identification purposes. As ... | |||||
| Doubts about the DSX designed by Eames | 1 Relevance | 13 years ago | Ftour | General discussion | |
| Hi! I'm new in Eames design and have some doubts I would like to know. -When was the DSX designed and when started to be manufactured? -When was the X base introduced? Until when? - When was the H base introduced? Until when? -Why there are black bases and metal bases? The difference is because of the year of production or just because? Thanks to anyone who can help me to learn a little bit more. There's sooooooooo much information about Eames DSX on internet that is difficult for me to find some clear detials. | |||||
| eames RAR: vitra or miller? | 1 Relevance | 13 years ago | karll | General discussion | |
| Hi all, I've been going through the search section but couldn't find an answer to this one: When it comes to buying a non early fibreglass eames rocker (let's say 60's -70's production), would you prefer to have one that's made by herman miller or vitra? Would/should there be any difference in price since one is 'more original' than the other? Thanks for your opinion on this one. | |||||

Basically I need cushions that are 20" X 20" for the seat and 20" X 16" for the back.I purchased these chairs without cushions, badly refinished. After doing some research and consulting folks with original cushions, I think 2" cushions is probably what I should do? I have read ...

Cado is 31 1/2' long. The other difference is the brass inserts. Is this a knockoff of just a different version? Thanks!

The only thing I can find about Virginia Maid is that it was a Lane trademark, but little else.
