That aside, I imagine Koen has once again zeroed in on the semantic difficulty we find ourselves in, when confused by diferent meanings of similar or identical terms, as used by different groups for their own purposes. | Not my thing but the lamp... Not my thing but the lamp holders are still available at the hardware and they all should have the same standard thread.I am in Australia but should be no diff. I have replaced them before and they screw straight back on.You obviously do this with bottom half first and connect cable afterwards. That is unless the cable freely spins down it's centre as you don't want to twist it. | |||||

| Fellow design addicts. I moved into my new house and its got these crappy ceiling fans with lights in them which I hate. anyway. I want to replace the one in the dining room with a gorgeous rosewood veneer cylindrical lamp from Luzifer. Being an open plan jobbie, the kitchen is in the same overall space (at other end of room). I was thinking of replacing the ghastly white glass pendants which are over the kitchen bench with three colourful 'Easy' pendants from kartell (perhaps in three diff colours - not sure yet. The kitchen is sleek white on white). Do yo ... | |||||

| I like 'em as well. There... I like 'em as well. There are many stools around, in many diff. heights, forms, woods and sold for many diff. price points. A lot of gorgeous ones as well ! Here, the best known one (after the Eames ones of course) are the typical ones by Christian Liagre (in fir). They are recurringly found in classic modern homes as either side tables or bedside tables. In the last case, their weight does not matter that much (how much does the average person move their bedside table around ?) As a note: these stools are not totally indestructi ... | |||||
