Have you drawn a metal plate on the leg on the far right? is that how it would attach to the underneath of the structure? or for strength does the wood continue under the arm to the front leg? | I am shocked too. Agree with you DCWilson. Yes, I am a bit offended by what you have said. Olive ! sorry but I do. Sorry but I don't see any difference between a Gothic cathedral and the great pyramid. I don't see a great diference between 1200 or 3000 years. And it's not just about time. What I do see closer to Las Vegas is the need to rehabing Monticello and the White House with almost no-years-history (sorry sorry sorry, just compare with the pyramids). I thanks to dcwilson to bring to this forum other problems and other things to think of. About the pyr ...

| ... only reason we have one and I do think it makes a diference. Stockton, our Bodum came with a basket that holds the grinds at the bottom of the glass cylinder. After one pushes down the plunger it snaps into this basket and we can lift out the grounds entirely. After a week of trying this we threw the basket out. Removing the grounds as Koen, says, really doesn't protect the coffee. I agree with him that it's most likely an oxidation reaction. Maybe we can find this out on coffeegeek.com. However, putting the coffee into a carafe not only keeps it hot, it ta ... | |||||

But here is the problem, why to buy an original then? that's my "ethic" problem. "one good option sugested by azurechicken in ""Freeform Sofa by Noguchi"" could be: """why not go with the spirit of the piece and not an exact line for line copy?""" Because in this case it is used as "inspiration" and not as a"copy". Then you are doing a new design, diferent form the original. What's the diference between: knock offs, b/c and a copy?

| Your chairs are not danish. I | 1 Relevance | 9 years ago | Spanky | General discussion | |
| Your chairs are not danish. I don't believe they would even be considered danish style. Paper labels fall off, also people remove label after they purchase furniture. There are couple ways you can tell old furniture from new. Aged wood looks very different then new wood it also smells diferent. Old finishes look old and new finishes look new. If someone were to make the same chair today it probaly would sell for the same amount you paid for your chairs, or more. I don't think it would benefit anyone to make copies and try to sell those chairs as originals. S ... | |||||

| Please help ID these 'Egon Eiermann' style chairs | 1 Relevance | 10 years ago | campdestijl | Identification | |
| Hi everyone, I've bought this set of six unlabeled 'Eiermann' style chairs. The chairs were most liekly produced in the 1950s/1960s in Germany. But I am wondering about some differences to all Wilde+Spieth Eiermann chairs (SE68) i could find. Diferences are: - places of the screws fixing the seat on the base - the way the steelframe is welded at the bottom of the seat - top of the frame holding the backrest have you any idea there were other manufacturers than Wilde+Spieth producing chairs that similar to the Eiermann SE68? thanks 😉 Michael | |||||

| I think your stone is dandy, even if it doesn't have Wright's random projecting stones. Wright used many diferent kinds of stone, depending (ideally) on what was native to the area. Wright might question the mixture of stone and brick in your house -- but you were planning to replace all the brick with stone, eventually, right . . .? (I'm not sure Wright would have centered the house number in oversized italics, underlined, no less -- but, hey, he's dead !) Don't worry about it. Just enjoy those great pictures, and dream. . . | |||||
