| ... extra cash in case he had other cool stuff for sale. When I got there and finally saw the chair in person I realized it was worse off than I expected and passed on it. I didnt want to waste a trip, so I jumped on my phone, looked up garage sales within a 10 mile radius and found one about 1 mile from where I was. The ad was short and only gave the address, time and named "furniture plus other household items" for sale. The sale had already been going for a few hours so I wasnt very optimistic as I drove over. To my amazement, as I pulled up to the home I c ... | |||||

| It looked to cheaply made in ... It looked to cheaply made in my opinion. Even for being refinished it just doesnt look right...And people do print fake labels she probably didnt attach it for a reason? Maybe incase you claim that it is fake she will say "I sent you a chair believed to be a herman miller along with a label I found"...probably smart trying to avoid making false claims? IDK but I do know that the shock mounts dont look right after doing a quick google search. | |||||

| no contest... i didnt want it to be misconstrued as such, but i can see where you'd get that...my argument comes more from the understanding of what that kind of money could do if applied to something based in the "greater good"....and of course these same people may be as philanthropic as The Giving Pledge...more power to them...i cant help but feel the way i do...just as the poor are painted in a certain light, so are the rich. there are exceptions to every rule. but please do not think it something as petty as envy, i will take my inspired poverty any day ... | |||||

| well see... well because its craigslist If i didnt throw such a huge number at them, i would have never gotten it. she said that she had over 27 emails about it, and everyone was just "interested" in it. No one offered money immediately. What i did was show her the cash first and present the 250 in the title of the email so i was her first pick. And it worked! theres no way it would have sold at 100, she would have caught on and the battle between people would have grew, and the price would have grown. me=Happiest Mid Century Enthusiast ever (: | |||||
