| Cassina sign and number as... Cassina sign and number as far as I know but there were other versions before them that did neither, knoll for example didnt. I had an early Knoll one once and in my opinion yours is not an early knoll version.....It doesnt appear to be a cassina version if they are signed and numbered......so that will narrow your search. I cant help any more than that though. | |||||

| fastfwd Sorry, didnt mean to offend. I'm certainly not suggesting that the quality and design are the same. Allow me to clarify my thought - ifthe average person with little to no knowledge can doubt the authenticity of the original chair (with label), how easy would it be to pass a cheap reproduction as the real deal by slapping a label on it? | |||||

| ... bought my first set at RH on sale. I liked them so much, I went back and got a second set and a quilt/duvet. I have a pale grey with the matching quilt (which is one or two shades darker) and a grey-blue set also. I have the 464 count sets. I didnt know they had a 600 count set, but I see they do. The sheets are made in Italy, and I have washed them upteems of times (I love clean sheets) and they are holding up great. Also, they have 20% sales regularly. The link doesnt do it justice. I think their bedding is more an industrial modern look than the ... | |||||

| ... asking $180 For both easy chairs and the sofa. Even though at the time I wasn't sure of the maker I felt bad knowing it was a quality piece so I ended up giving her more than she was asking. As for now, I'll probably work on it as a project, enjoy it for a bit then most likely turn it over down the line. Kcbrains, how did you come across yours? I didnt see any of the sofas online so it was neat to see yours. I'm not entirely sure how common these pieces actually were. Do you or anybody know the years they were produced? | |||||

| I dont have a problem at all ... I dont have a problem at all Gary if you state that when asking in your description. But you didnt and ive noticed recently a lot of the ID threads of yours have since appeared on ebay, Particulary the Eames Zenith chair with the raised dots after several people helped you to ID the production of the chair etc. What I strongly dislike is people seeking IDs as a way of bumping up their profits and using this as a free resource to do so. | |||||

| Mario, they were asking... Mario, they were asking $1500 bucks for that 'Nelson' dresser. didnt seem worth the drive as they claimed its been refinished a couple of times, still looks decent. did you grab the headboard too? | |||||

| The link The link you posted is the lightolier I was thinking of. didnt recall the differences from memory. So similar though. Wouldn't be shocked to find its just a variation of it. A lamp collector friend of mine purchased the 3 headed one on eBay not too long ago. He isn't sure who the manufacturer is so I am of no help to you. Sorry about that. They are really nice lamps though. | |||||

| Stag Rocket-vintage do you mean there was just the dressing table in the C range? Robert I imagine as time went on they became part of the fixtures and fittings at Stag and just produced designs each year or so which is a shame because it is not easy to find out what they did and didnt design, much like the kofod larsen bits for G plan. StevieG £80 doesnt seem to bad. | |||||

| haha Yes that is what I always tell people , the mystical magical garbabge pile. I love telling the story of how I acquired it. It really adds to the piece. The "garbage pile" is actually some northern Michigan hillbillies land that is on the dirt road leading up to my parents property. The people who own it are a bunch of alcoholics and they get paid to take care of other peoples trash. Had they known what this chair was worth, they wouldnt have had to ever take anyones trash again for beer money. I guess when they made this dump, it was from an older woman ... | |||||

| ... more of a reason to be suspicious in this business. Also are you serious that you find that these dealers have nothing but mint, perfect condition, perfectly labeled items....They have sold 100+ chairs in perfect condition and I dont know how familiar you are with vintage furniture but I have never found a piece that was in perfect condition even when i freshly picked it from a estate sale of a 80 year old man. I know that sounds harsh but I go where the furniture is and im sure 90% of the people on here do to. Over time items get messed up from kids and ge ... | |||||

| I picked up a PAF version at... I picked up a PAF version at auction last autumn for £25 - didnt know what it was, just liked it, then after a bit of web searching when I got home, I was well chuffed. The 2 position switch has lost it interim dimmed switch position. But does switch to 100%. I've now converted to LED, using a new Philips MASTER LEDcapsule LV 2.5w G4 2700k - so it no longer generates the heat it used to. | |||||

| I have talked repeatedly abou... I have talked repeatedly about the formal elements of composition in relationship to this piece. I have also talked about context, and how the base was viewed separately (because of the auction) You really think Noguchi didnt think about it as one piece? He may humbly sit there and SAY they are just tables or bases, but... HES A SCULPTOR. Why do YOU think he chooses a tall legged platform for one, and a short platform for another, with different details? I dont even LOVE Noguchi. I respect him though, as a great artist. I don ... | |||||

| fastfwd, You're the one... fastfwd, You're the one that mentioned those manufacturers, I didnt. I gave you examples that I immediately remembered experiencing first hand, which was the basis for my initial response. tinyarmada, brings up the barcelona, again ive seen some very good copies of this chair as well. I would also throw in the wassily as I've seen atleast one exceptional copy that was just as good as the original. I've also seen a bunch of the Panton stuff copied that looks and feels exactly like the licensed stuff. As for your comment regarding t ... | |||||
