| I didn't know he was gay, but... I didn't know he was gay, but I have always thought he's the most overrated designer among the new designers. However, so many mistake his brightly colored plasticy products as good designs and I just don't know why. | |||||

| SDR, Europeans pay more for gasoline and diesel... and they get vastly more state services for doing so. A huge percentage of their fuel prices are taxes that go to a variety of state social and infrastructure services. As we pay more for gasoline and diesel, most of the price increase goes to the oilcos, not to taxes for more state services. European roads and bridges and social safety nets are quite good, while ours stink and are getting worse. Frankly, we're getting screwed imho. And as if this weren't bad enough, now the oilcos are working hard to priv ... | |||||

| ... I had no idea what they were or who they were made by. I asked the owner about them?he told me he had picked them up from the EMI office down the road that morning and he want £500 for the set. You could tell the chairs had some age as they where a bit battered round the edges? I must have spent 20 minutes looking at all the chairs. The owner knew I was a window shopper?as I never brought anything, ?take them for £400? trying to get rid of me. I?ve called my brother and told him about the chairs?I told him the where a bit like the x chair (I didn?t kno ... | |||||

| Well, I didn't describe... Well, I didn't describe Fabricius & Kastholm (F&K) as not being recognized at all, just not on the same level as Kjærholm. I believe far more people are aware of Kjærholm's work than that of F&K. I mean, the PK22 is everywhere! Most of Kjærholm's furniture has been in production for years and years while F&K's furniture has only recently been "rediscovered" and reissued as I mentioned before. Their time has finally come, I hope. | |||||

| I diDN'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG With the English on your website. I didn't read everything but what I read, I understood perfectly. Not sure what he was talking about but if manufacturers are interested in something, I do not think slightly bad grammar is going to turn people off, it's the products they are after and they are not there to read a novel. But again, your English seems fine to me. | |||||

| I'm glad I didn't offend you. I do understand the desire to honor a loved one's memory by honoring their things. But ultimately too many things weigh you down, keep you rooted in the past and in grief. I am a professional organizer, I deal with this sort of emotional attachment to objects all the time with my clients. It is good that you realize that the objects are not the memory. display one or two things and indeed you will feel a stronger connection to your mom, as the singular objects will make a much greater impact when displayed by themselves in place ... | |||||

| I didn't plan on such a... I didn't plan on such a focus. The level of admiration I have had for Mr. Eames made it to where I felt obligated to have at least a decent example of each material he used if possible. At least one good example of plywood, fiberglass, aluminum ... etc. The fact that I live in a small home made it possible for it to overrun my quarters. It actually feels like an internal delimma when it is time for a new piece. I always have the gut desire to keep his pieces in large numbers. I am selling my beloved eames sofa more than likely ... ... | |||||

| Didn't see the post before mine prior to posting; I'm still using a 1959 "Webster's College Edition"; apparently they've loosened up in the years since. No wonder people give up and rely on spell-check, huh? | |||||
