| Thanks! I've never seen the... Thanks! I've never seen the "real" one and just by looking at pictures of Knoll table, I didn't think it was one. True that the base is not as much elegant as the Knoll. Benoit | |||||

| ... less if they waited long enough, but I thought it was a fair deal and I never could have afforded full retail. There was actually one slightly larger piece the guy had for $100 less but it would have required disassembly and reassembly just to fit through our apt door. And actually this piece was purchased from a dealer sans shop that bought a bunch of stuff from an architecture firm that recently downsized, so he had to leave some padding for profit. He offered even better deals on multiple piece purchases, but I didn't want to overload my small apartment ... | |||||

| I agree with the majority... I agree with the majority that number 1 is he way to go....looks better and more comfortable for seating as it has the corner leg position. I have a lovely Audoux Minet table (like the desk below but longer) with a similar leg configuration to your 2nd option.......It arguably can seat ten (only 8 chairs there at the moment) but the legs do pose a problem for seating. If I didn't love the way it looked....I'd change tables | |||||

| That desk looks like the... That desk looks like the other 16 POS desks at the Goodwill in my neighborhood. Condition aside, I've never seen a Risom desk without legs. I checked the Danish Furniture Index ( http://kunstindustrimuseet.dk/furnitureindex) and didn't see any reference to anything remotely looking like that desk. fm http://kunstindustrimuseet.dk/furnitureindex | |||||

| If I found some great bargain on Craig's List if I didn't want to keep it, I would resell it on eBay, because thousands more people will see it. I see nothing wrong with reselling something you get at a bargain. | |||||

We simply like them, or dislike them, and we all know that everyone has an opinion (and they often differ). So, I was not really taking one person's side or another, but simply pointing out that no one's mother has been disrespected. Have fun with it. Okay, for one, I think that Panton should be drug out into the street by his nipples for his regretful, loud use of patt ... | |||||

| No I'm not! There's two different ways to say a popular style is not something you like. For example, I don't like splayed leg chairs or tables. I think they're rather ugly. But, when anyone shows one, I don't say "they're sh*t and you're an idiot for liking them"! What I would say, instead, if I don't personally like 'em. This reminds of my music history teacher in my first year of college. We got friendly and he mentioned that he didn't care for Mozart, despite the worldwide historic aclaim. did it stop him from teaching Mozart in a positive light? No ... | |||||

| ... worked up when I see the flipping that goes on on CL. It makes me chuckle when I see someone try to flip something before the body is even cold, particularly if it's something BIG like a sofa. Most of the time, they ask such ridiculous prices that it sits there for weeks before they give up. When I think about that Wegner sofa sitting in some guy's garage with his wife yelling "Get that thing out of here! I want to park my car", I smile even more. My wife has a rule...I find something I like on Craigslist, I buy it. But something else has to go. Seems like ... | |||||

| Whatta buy! I've always loved those chairs. I saw one in Goodwill once that was painted a glossy bright yellow. It was $3, but a single yellow chair didn't fit into my scheme (then or now). Congrats! | |||||

| Stamped or labeled? Is your table stamped in the wood or does it have a label? Most of the furniture in this state sale had label stickers, only the accessories were marked into the wood. Do you have a photo of your table? I tried google but I didn't find any tables by Bramin. Thanks! | |||||

| Eggs I missed two vintage leather Jacobsen Egg chairs for 130 euros each because I overslept one morning and didn't check the Saturday newspaper ads at 7 AM as usual. When I called at 9 they were sold. Stills bugs me five years later. | |||||

| I always had trouble selling square and rectangular gateleg tables for just that reason. Somebody was always forced to straddle the legs. The only ones that this didn't happen on were the William and Mary style gatelegs with the oval tops. The extended legs didn't reach anywhere near the edge of the oval so people's legs could easily fit in front of it. | |||||
