| Didn't see SDR's response. And very good direction. We did nearly all of that, but finished with a secure fiberglass and 2 part epoxy. (it's in the study against a corner wall. Just a favorite chair that needs to perform) I'm not about re-sale or value at this point. I refuse to sit gently in a chair especially if i spend a fortune on repairs. It has a few leather issues and i didn't pay top dollar. Only the ottomon is near mint. I don't encourage this type of repair but i did it and that was my personal choice. I did extensive research and found this a comm ... | |||||

| Who is to say the seller didn't know what the chair was worth? I have purchased items where the seller knew what they had but wanted it to go to someone who would appreciate it. I live in a college town and have noticed students search CL, some of who may be fans of Mid-Century design unfortunately it a luxury some cannot afford. Wouldn't it be great if they could find something they could afford it the design they seek? Heck maybe an investment later on, I guess I don't have the seller mentality. I can only speak for myself and the scenarios I have doubt wi ... | |||||

| Very cool. What is that avocado dinnerware you have in it? Don't tell me Wright, that would be too funny. That's one fun part of learning about design - finding unmarked items and realizing it's not just generic. Until yesterday, I didn't realize that Gilbert Rohde designed for Haywood Wakefield, so lots of that undervalued HW stuff on ebay could well be Rohde designs. | |||||

| I didn't bid on this, but I... I didn't bid on this, but I must admit I would've hated if someone 'outed' an auction that I was bidding on like that... I think it's ok to inform someone you know who really wants the item, but this forum is not exactly limited to the few people who actually posts here... Just my thought. | |||||

| I didn't have a clue, so... I didn't have a clue, so did not respond. So, the mysterious Craft Associates... I came across a fantastic couch and chair on a trip south. (photo probably still on my phone) The only hint linking to Craft Assoc. was a fabric tag. They made some interesting pieces, but not many? I think their furniture has always been more traditional and ventured into the streamline danish influence for just a short while in the 60's? just a guess...gave it a good search a while back, but did not find much. like the chair, and the fabric. nice li ... | |||||

| PegboardSorry I didn't... Pegboard Sorry I didn't answer earlier but my computer has been on the fritz. The woman who owns the shop has a website at www.chair-fetish.com Her email is avaiable on the site and she can hook you up with information on the lamps. I think I might be going by the shop tomorrow so if so, I'll ask her then. And Jaxon you can also email her to ask about the chair in the pic. I'm not really familiar with that chair. I think she might have a couple so she might know a bit more about it. | |||||

| That didn't work Got some lysol spray...DON'T USE IT on teak Guess it works on a different finish, but certainly not danish oil. Tried Goof-Off as suggested by my local hardware store rep. Same result. NOT FOR TEAK! Both acted as disolvers...melting away the finish, but not the paint. I also tried denatured alcohol...no effect. | |||||

| OK...but I didn't see youir smiley face that symbol did not show up. This lamp is NOT called the Trenalle...it's a total re-working of the long discontinued lamp and it's called the Treluci. Sonneman is not trying to hawk it off as a reproduction, ripoff or knockoff. It's not the same thing. It's also bigger than the original design. It's not for anyone, but anyone who liked the Arteluce and calls this lamp "hideous" needs to consider getting glasses. What I object to is your choice of words. The next time you post something you have, I'll be as inappropr ... | |||||
