| ... Londi-Bitossi tall jug on eBay and when it arrived, the handle was broken. The seller did put bubble wrap around the handle, but he did not fill in the space, so the handle broke. When I received it, I contacted the seller, who was actually kind of bitchy and wouldn't accept it back; the seller told me file a claim with the US postal service. I brought the item and the packaging to the post office and they're policy is to take the item, investigate it and issue a check to the person filing the claim. I was told that I would not get the item back. I though ... | |||||

| I had a very bad experience... I had a very bad experience with Paypal a few years ago. A woman bought a very expensive Chanel bag from me and then spontaneously decided she didn't like it upon receiving it. She filed for a chargeback with her credit card company, and of course Paypal was forced to return the money. They then deducted it out of my account almost immediately despite the fact that I had something like 14 days to tell "my side" of the story. Oh, and the woman kept the bag. She did not send it back to me. I was told, and I believe its true, that ... | |||||

| ... counter space for the kitchen by adding a bar between the kitchen and living area. Use part of the bar for food prep and part for seating. My friend did this in his loft. He had a smaller kitchen like that which was completely open to the living area. He segregated the space by adding a bar between. If you do the bar option, will you also be having a dining table or will that be the only dining area? My friend didn't have alot of room to work with but he wanted a dining able in case he had company. He got a nice sized teak dining table with ends that ... | |||||

He answered: All of these listed chairs are in their complete original state with the exception of the Walnut DCW which looks to have been "furniture polished" a bit over its lifetime. Thanks for looking! I replied: Dear modernesia, You didn't answer my question. "is the label on this chair the 'Evans postal stamp' original? UPDATE: I believe I did :"complete original state" Thanks, Fred - modernesia NOTE: Am I missing something or did his answer "not" answer my questions if the label original? shouldn't the answer be "yes, the labels are origina ...

| Read all the way down because I have a question (1/2) Because this post is too long, it is now divided into two posts. Almost two years after the first post, this contribution has probably no meaning at all. Yet, I'll answer all questions before I ask one of my own. Since apparently DSX involving research was done, someone may just know something! 1/2 1. In the year 2000, I had to wait in some waiting room and there is was. 2. I didn't even really look at it, so my first impression was 'this is a great chair to sit in', then I looked closer and loved its sha ... | |||||
| I had the same question | 1 Relevance | 15 years ago | MikeoKellyo | General discussion | |
| I had the same question I am currently trying to purchase an early Coconut chair that has the exact same sticker. The current owner said that they purchased the chair in the 60s. I was hoping to find a Herman Miller label, but no luck. The chair needs new foam and upholstery. The shell is rust free and the base/legs are in good shape with only some very light rust showing here and there. I'd be curious as to opinions on market value. My $500 offer didn't fly, but I think that a $750 offer would work. Thanks | |||||

| Barry I think you're misremembering. I was bored, so I searched... And of the 45 hits for "sofa compact" here, only 9 threads discussed its comfort. Most of those threads involved you asking whether the Sofa Compact was uncomfortable -- or saying that you'd heard it was uncomfortable -- and then Pegboard or me or someone else telling you that you'd been misinformed and that it's actually quite comfortable. In fact, the only person I could find who'd actually had a Sofa Compact and found it uncomfortable was LRF, who wrote back in 2007 that he'd bought one th ... | |||||

They even used the palates that the wood came on as wall sections for the garage. Whole house was sided in redwood-- when redwood was cheap enough to be used for low end tract houses. I think the big beams and the clean lines and the light stuck with me. To this day i' ve not seen a wall that didn't look better with a window. At least to me.

| waffle A local dealer I know got eight rosewood Moller chairs at a country auction for a dollar apiece. The woven seats were all completely shot. She didn't know what they were and because of the condition she put them in her shop for $50 each. I had never been in her shop but I drove by it all the time and often thought about going in there. I was even on the lookout at the time for rosewood chairs for my own use. But yet another dealer diD go into the shop and bought them and rewove the seats and sold them for $275 each, which is still not a bad price ... | |||||

| Here they are after the Watco. Here they are after the Watco. As you can see the one seat's finish is far worse than the others. I think they came out looking alright considering how they started. Yeah, I didn't want to stain them or even use the Natural Watco lacquer. If I ever feel like refinishing them I would go straight Natural lacquer and let time color them. | |||||

| This was the type of place I ... This was the type of place I figured I might run the chance of being on the other end of a shotgun if I started digging around on the porch without permission. didn't end up that way, it was a nice woman and her grown daughter, but I feared a billybob with no teeth. The EST has done zip to help my search due to the exact thing you said - it meaning "established" or even "eastern standard time" The only reason I don't think it means "established" besides no date is that the EST is in a circle - more like a logo design than t ... | |||||

| Wrong, Jeremiah... I've attempted to deal with you in the past and base my opinions solely on that experience as well as some of your shocking ID posts here and shady listings online. If you didn't come off as such an arrogant twat in private, I might cut you a break in public. Others may be upset if you neglect to post here... I don't know. "But not I," said the lamb. | |||||

| Hi Riki, It would make my... Hi Riki, It would make my life easier if they were a dime a dozen. If you can find any photos of this style, much less dozens, please, please show me where. I have gone through so much used furniture - high end to low end - to no avail. As I said before the only other match was a tallboy with the same style on craig's list in LA, which was described as art deco. I'm all too familiar with the big American manufacturing lines of MCM styles - broyhill, lane, dunbar, martinsville, stuff that was sold at Sears, etc... This isn't any ... | |||||
