| Thanks Simon. I will keep... Thanks Simon. I will keep trying. I had a locksmith modify an existing skeleton key to resemble no. 2 key on that link that jdip provided but that didn't work. I just actually ordered that set from that link so I'm hoping one of those keys will work. | |||||

| i found the cats cradle base... i found the cats cradle base too low for me (i'm 180cm) and they're also difficult for elderly people - my parents didn't like them. ironically my cat liked them a lot, it's a good height for cats to easily slip into the chair. and they do look sculptural and nice. i since replaced them with lax bases and that works great for me. i also find the simplicity appealing. as for the max base, i have one stored in the basement but it looks to much like a dining chair in a living room. probably good for waiting rooms... | |||||

| Oh, that reminds me- We had a party and a dear friend sat in the vintage LCW whose back I just epoxied back on OH so carefully and painstakingly---SNAP. Popped right off. I didn't even try to repair the second one, just slapped them up on ebay. Some guy in Belgium bought them. I hope he doesn't have big parties. | |||||

| Great thread. My... Great thread. My OMGnoooooooo moment was when we went out to dinner with my fiance's mother and her friend. We walked to the restaurant and on the way walking back, we were all soaked with pouring rain. For whatever reason, the friend decided to extend his visit with us and came up to our apartment, where in soaking wet jeans, he promptly sat on our vintage aniline leather Barcelona chairs. Oh, and the best part? I actually had the cushions flipped up because I didn't want my cat sitting on them. The gentleman actually flipped the cushion ... | |||||

| Yay! thanks for the reply! Its only been a few hours, but it was driving me crazy. Thank you so much! I think I will go back and try and look for the ladder parts! I just didn't know what to look for so I wasn't looking for that at all haha. The parts might have even been there as the shop I got it from has a scrap yard and they tend to scrap metal stuff that doesn't go with anything. Side note: I am in the US so I don't know if buying a complete system will be viable for me if i have to get it shipped from the UK. I will give it a try though! | |||||

| "Can someone help?" With what? DWR didn't begin selling Cassina products until early 2006. Before that, they sold knockoffs of the Le Corbusier designs. | |||||

| Help identifying this set? Hi - I purchased a Danish modern dining set off of Craiglist for a song and the previous owners knew that they were teak and from Denmark, but beyond that couldn't give us any other info. Can anyone help me identify the chairs? The table is marked with labels that I didn't see originally - Domus Danica and Heltborg Mobler and I think it's by John Mortensen. Someone on another site said they think the whole set is teak, but the only tables like this with the same names are rosewood. I'm pretty sure the chair on the right is from M ... | |||||

| Lauritz sold the one in first photo back in 2013 and attributed it to Johannes Andersen but showed no mark or reference. Also found a couple of others, one in Sweden and one in France, that appear to have same frames. Both just listed as "Danish" with no marks or references. I didn't see anything similar attributed to Hovmand-Olsen. Attachment: DanWingJA.jpg Attachment: Danwing2.jpg Attachment: Danwing1.jpg | |||||

| ... That one relied on just pictures and measurements of from the old catalogs. Still it turned out pretty good. I have about 55 different vintage Nelson clocks, that are not reproductions, they are the real thing. Sounds like a lot (and it is) but I have a collector friend who has twice the amount that I do. The last 9 pictures on my Photobucket page are reproductions my friend and I did over the years. Most we did before Vitra, but we didn't intend to try and compete with them. We did them mostly for fun and only sold a few, some I gave to friends. ... | |||||
