| I didn't get... ...another taxidermy squirrel with fishing gear but I did get "Danish Modern" by Andrew Hollingsworth, which wasn't quite the book I thought it would be but it's interesting. I also got to shriek with laughter at seeing my dear son-in-law go from a sweet, unassuming geek to a creepy lothario just by putting on one of the fake mustaches I gave him. And then they put one on my little 2.5-year-old grandson and turned him into a mini Lt. Jim Dangle of Reno 911! We all bust a gut laughing. Best Christmas gift EVER. | |||||

| A bit a Deja Vu, didn't we... A bit a Deja Vu, didn't we discuss pronunciation before? Where's that thread. MOMA printed a book back in the 60's that included a paper sheet addressing artist pronunciation. I should've bought it...not that it would've contributed much to this particular discussion but handy to have around. | |||||

| Actually, it didn't show up... Actually, it didn't show up in the UK Amazon when I searched because that seller does not ship to the UK. I can't be thick for not noticing something that is not listed nor offered to the UK. I would have been thick had I bought the book for 100 quid. | |||||

| I didn't say "trapeze artist" The fourth person looks a lot like Punch or Judy. I swear that I am not effing with you and that this fourth is big enough to be seen without difficulty. | |||||

| "the odd thing is why didn't... "the odd thing is why didn't they accept the buyers 10k? pangs of guilt perhaps? admission of a copy?" This is the big question. They never made any reps that it was a Noguchi sculpture. If they know its fake, why not take the 10K and let the purchaser be on the hook. Someone out there must be telling them it may be real. Essentially, it seems they're leaving the 10K on the table for the possibility of a gigantic payday. Interesting gamble. Makes me think there is some possibility it is, indeed, authentic, no? | |||||

| lit up said he didn't like... lit up said he didn't like the eames aluminum group, which is a sadness, so the alternative of the soft pad version is odd. it's the 'same' chair...but more importantly, after ordering one for my father a few years ago, I realized how poor it was for actual comfort (compared to my normal aluminum group exec high back). The addition of the pads makes the seat so short that it was awkward to sit on it---and I'm short (5'7')! A taller person's experience will be worse. | |||||

| I actually didn't realize... I actually didn't realize that architects mostly use PCs (AutoCad) until my architect neighbors told me the other day. I was surprised. Not because PCs cannot perform like Macs, just that every other creative field I know of has an undying preference for Macs, with little if any reasoning. | |||||

| Sure thing, didn't know if... Sure thing, didn't know if over saturation would be an issue of contention. Thanks for the interest, I've really been wanting to see if anyone had ever heard of it. I think it was purchased and used for an office conference table, but haven't a clue as to its original purpose (dining or office.) My gut kinda says dining. There are more pics at the link. http://picasaweb.google.com/darkenrahl/Furniture | |||||
