| I'm disappointed I didn't bid... I'm disappointed I didn't bid on some of those items! There are people trying to sell the Bramin rocker on CL for 900$ in my area and it's only going for $300? The danish sale in the spring did not have prices go that low. I've talked to a number of dealers lately and sales are down. Some of the dealers in my area have really bad merchandise lately. I think they aren't able to get a hold of things like they used to and sales are lower because they don't have things that are as good. | |||||

| Sorry, Gary, I didn't see this until now, but Leif's advice is sound. I would also maybe ask the upholsterer to show you the work on the first chair before he proceeds to the rest, if you're not 100% confident that they know what you want. I think if you ask nicely and explain that the method of upholstery is important to preserving the value of these vintage chairs, they will understand and be willing to oblige. I hope. If it were me doing the work, I would be happy to email a few photos. | |||||

| No, I didn't know that, Solange! Thank you. I have Stelton wine stoppers and a beautiful Stelton bottle opener but none of them have the penguin. They're just marked Stelton. | |||||

| Emailed Dennie ditzel and... Emailed Dennie ditzel and heard back: I can confirm that your bowl is designed by my parents Nanna and Jørgen ditzel. It?s designed in 1955. And I said thanks to you, I didn?t knew it was produced by Magne Monsen, the sample we have is probably a proto type is has no stamps at all. In our archive it looks like it had been reproduced in 1962, which was after my father?s death, and therefor only my mother?s name. Best regards Dennie I feel honored to be the caretaker of this wonderful bowl. | |||||
| Didn't Work - RetroBrite Experience? - Auto Body? | 2 Relevance | 12 years ago | NULL NULL | General discussion | |
| Didn't Work - RetroBrite Experience? - Auto Body? I tried the varnish remover and it did nothing. Here's the photo of the actual canopy. It shows that drip I referred to that shows the original white. No idea how the drip got there. I'm thinking my next move will be to try RetroBrite ( http://retr0bright.wikispaces.com). I've been meaning to mix a batch for some yellowed ABS, but have been putting it off because it was too cold to work outside. This will be my first run with RetroBrite. Anyone else used it? Any less caustic and/or less experimental idea ... | |||||

| Didn't most (all?) of the... Didn't most (all?) of the high back chairs come with the tilt mechanism? If the rest of the chair looks original maybe it was an original and the tilt mechanism broke? And the owner had a replacement part made? A competent metalworker could knock that part up in his garage.... | |||||
