| Need a lead on a lamp part | 1 Relevance | 13 years ago | ac106 | General discussion | |
| Hi all I recently bought 3 d10 Jack lamps by Luceplan. Two of them didn't come with the transformer and I can't seem to track them down locally or online. Anyone know where I can them? | |||||
| Scandinavian lounge chair ID please | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | emerone | Identification | |
| Hello design addicts, Can someone tell me who is the designer or the maker of this chair? I think it's made with teak, and it has brass backrest connectors. There is no marking. The best bet I have is that it is Kai Kristiansen for Magnus Olsen or Ib Kofod-Larsen for Selig, but I didn't find the exact same chair on the internet. Thanks to all, and happy holidays! | |||||
| Herman Miller/Eames Lounge Chair Label Identification Help Please..... | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | Peruche | Identification | |
| I looked through a lot of past threads on this subject, but I didn't find anything about this type of label. I might have the opportunity to acquire an Eames 670/671 lounger. The lounger is in good to great condition but is disassembled at this time. When the person that owns the lounger was showing it to me they held up what appeared to be the seat of the 670 lounge chair and this label was attached. This label is the only identification mark on the 670/671 set. Most the Herman Miller labels that I have seen say Zeeland, Michigan and this labels says L ... | |||||
| Is this a Johannes Andersen table? | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | metriccar | Identification | |
| The owner is asking a good deal of money for this table, but it is unmarked. It looks similar to other tables I have seen by him, but the way the leafs come out is different. Beautiful table, but I'd worry about overpaying because someone started making tables similar to his that didn't label them. | |||||
| Saarinen oval coffee table | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | rh53w | Identification | |
| ... it to some people, both of whom have said that it's unlikely that a fake would try to use the older logo and therefore it's likely real. but two things are odd: 1) its height is listed as 43cm, not 38cm. i understand that over the years some of these tables were made to non-standard heights, but it's still just that: non-standard. I should add that the dimensions of the top (106cm by70cm) are standard. 2) the base is round, but the table is oval. i think that the new ones all have oval bases, even the coffee tables, but i don't know if that has always ... | |||||
| Is this a Kaare Klint wing chair? | 1 Relevance | 13 years ago | lasuccession | General discussion | |
| Hello, I wonder if this wing chair was designed by Klint? Wings are curved and the brass tacks make me wonder about the origins. I didn't see the Rasmussen label under the seat. Thanks for your help. | |||||

| Eames LKR | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | Snaaf | Identification | |
| Dear Fellow Design Lovers! I am from the Netherlands, and I think I did an amazing find, namely, an old Eames LKR with cat's cradle base. The thing is that it has a square base connection, which I believe makes the chair part of the very first production series. I was wondering, since there are a lot Eames minds' out here with more knowledge than I, if you could tell me if I'm right or not. I've never ever seen this chair anywhere, so I don't have any references. I'm curious in your opinions 🙂 P.S. I bought it at the dutch craigslist, from a woman who alrea ... | |||||
| Purple Paint On a France & Daverkosen Chair | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | SandraG | General discussion | |
| ... it is stamped France & Daverkosen. This chair can be completely disassembled (I'm not sure if that's typical or not). It appears to have the original cushions. They have springs inside and are quite heavy. So, there's purple paint slapped carelessly on the frame of the chair. I think I'm lucky that they didn't bother to paint the under sides and places that don't show, because I don't have to worry about trying to get that paint off. They didn't sand the chair, so the paint is sitting on top of the old, slick finish This was a blonde wood that has a shin ... | |||||
| What is the sticky stuff coming out of my wood? (there must be a better way to have said that...) | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | Grendel_The_Cat | General discussion | |
| I was gently cleaning up my new mystery chair earlier this week and the wood was leaving a sticky, reddish, residue on the towel with every wipe. I'll get a little more aggressive and try Murphy's and steel wool this weekend unless I hear otherwise! Is it the finish coming off? Nicotine? General funk? Layers of prior waxes/cleaners? Bonus question, any way to get the stink out of the vinyl? I left it outside for a few days to air out, didn't work, we are rapidly losing our sunshine in the pacific northwest 🙂 Thanks all! | |||||
| Chrome armchair id help please | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | Ricardo Lopez | Identification | |
| This is my first mcm piece that is metal/chrome and wasn't sure what to look for. I liked the chair and made sure that the welding was nice and clean (it is) and that the end of the "tubes" don't just have an end cap (they don't). My google key word search was too generic and didn't turn up much. Any help is appreciated. | |||||
| [Question] Vatne Mobler Sofa and Chairs by Kayser? | 1 Relevance | 13 years ago | PeterP | General discussion | |
| Hello, I own a matching sofa and two chairs made by Vatne Mobler. Both chairs are on rolls but the sofa has a wooden frame. I guess somebody didn't like the sofa on rolls and put a solid wooden frame under it because the holes for the rolls are still there. The whole set looks like Model 965 by Fredrik Kayser. Does somebody here know what model this is exactly? Please help. Thank you. | |||||
| Giveaway????? or Refurbish??? | 1 Relevance | 13 years ago | terryt | General discussion | |
| Please help me with this Mid Century lounge chair. It appears to be from a Scandinavian maker because of the continuous coil loops in the seat. The wood appears to be maple or beech? I would love to know if anyone could i.d. I didn't know if this was worth having new cushions made and refinishing, but I will defer to you experts. Thanks so much in advance! 🙂 | |||||
