| yes bgillettephoto, She does have the white and yellow version of the same camera. The white unit came with a white trimmed lens. And even though I already have a Christofle valet key chain, Kieselstein-Cord sterling silver dog key chain, Stefano Giovannoni, King-Kong Girotondo key ring for Alessi AKK44 and AKK44W, and Tommy Larsen, keyring for Rosendahl, I now have the Louis Vuitton dice key holder. More is better. | |||||

| alas.... i havent got any tooling or welder of my own....or would have long ago...my specialty is custom metal work with a touch of woodwork, so ive come up with many a design, and no way to execute...even considered going the easy route with threaded blackpipe and various fittings, but if i did..itd have to be floor to ceiling, and i rent...so no dice drilling into the ceiling! guess im S.O.L. for now... | |||||

| Kofod Larsen Seal Chairs? please help me | 1 Relevance | 9 years ago | joshuaraley | General discussion | |
| ... had been all over the world for work, wherever the next assignment took them etc. SO that is the back story I was told which I do find very credible. I felt confident buying several mid century furniture pieces there. Some were marked and others not. I rolled the dice with these chairs, which have no markings anywhere. upon further research they look like they are Ib Kofod Larsen for Ope Mobler Seal Chairs, but I have had no luck finding any iron clad proof to be 100 % sure. My problems is there are no markings and I can not find any fabric colors like the ... | |||||
| help us ID this flea market chair | 1 Relevance | 10 years ago | kristinsalex | Identification | |
| Help us identify this flea market find! We picked up a mid century chair as a refinishing project, but if possible, we would like to find out a little history about the piece. Unfortunately, there are no discernible maker's marks or stickers on the bottom of the chair and we didn't find any clues during the preliminary Google image searches. Any ideas what this could be? * ladder back dining/armchair * 4 rungs * most likely cherry construction * we thought the arms and seat were reminiscent of the Wegner round chair, but no dice Thanks for your input! | |||||

| shelves Yes, I think these shelves had a screw-type piece on the bottom. As for the cost, it was shot in the dark. I really like it so I may just roll the dice. Thanks again for all your help! | |||||

| Original Eames Zenith rocker all the way? | 1 Relevance | 14 years ago | analogdialog | General discussion | |
| ... chair to me at a reasonable price. Reasonable if it's through and through an all original Zenith rocker though. The price isn't so low that I can just roll the dice, however. The obvious right things are there - rope edge, remnants of the checkered label, thicker wire base, wide shock mounts but a few of things throw me off: *there is a very faint shadow of an X between the shock mounts -the shock mounts don't have X base indentations however -could this have been a byproduct of the manufacturing? -if it was on an X base, why would it have left a shad ... | |||||
| Eames soft pad/aluminum group question | 1 Relevance | 17 years ago | SX-70 | General discussion | |
| I've got an old soft pad lounge chair that needs to be reupholstered - cracked vinyl on the seat. My plan was to send it to the factory to be recovered. No dice. Here's a note I received from HM: "They are correct about the fact that the chair cannot be reupholstered (pad replaced) on a chair that has the hex head bolts holding the back brace in place. This indicates that the chair is older than 1975. In 1975, we had a dimensional change to the pad. Today's production pads will not fit the older chairs because of that change. We do not have patterns t ... | |||||

| OK, just got 4 of these chairs at a garage sale. Love 'em, they look great I think. Just wondering if anyone has seen them before, or maybe knows a thing or two about them. No labels, marks, nothing. The cushions have been recovered and the original material and labels were removed them, so no dice on that. Anyone got any ideas? Cool, thanks! | |||||
| I am very far from both | 1 Relevance | 10 years ago | leif ericson - Zephyr Renner | General discussion | |
| I am very far from both Denmark or Iceland. Very, very far away in a dry desert. But I take that as a high compliment. I am in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. There are quite a few pockets of mid century modern architecture within walking distance of my house, and I think I've admired them for too long walking the dog, because with the house now done (really it is has been done for a year), I have gotten the itch to get one of them and renovate it... (cdsilva: the mirror mount is the cleverest part of the Aksel Kjersgaard made vanity, and I actually think it ... | |||||
