Usually disappointed selling to them. Each market has it benefit..understand them, and you'll have regular heart beats. There's already an eBay design alternative...sort of...1st dibs. But golly those asking/inquire prices...hmpf. Keep in mind...the changes are about the sellers. I never had a bad experience from a buyer, but too many bad experiences from sellers. BIG seller peeve is charging 2- ...

| i wish i could have used... i wish i could have used it, but it was at a youth lounge at a Christian church, and the kids must have been a little rough as they did put a few ciggerate burns in it (bad kids) and it was trashed, The thing that i think is so funny is Probber with Parzinger Kagan and Evans were the premier designers of modern sofas in the 1960's and you see there stuff bringing the biggest dollars at autions, and on 1st dibs so to see it come out of a youth lounge of a Christian Chu ... | |||||

| THANK YOU for taking the time to quell the jealous ones who keep knocking 1st. dibs. If the world is so that some one can afford the luxury of buying a piece at a price which to them is good then who are any of you to say that it is wrong or a rip off. In my own word YOU SHOULD NOT TRY AND STOP SOMEONE DOING WHAT THEY ARE ABLE TO DO, JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT!!! If the balance of price is directly linked to the convenience of shopping then consider the fact that it takes some one like me and my father 7 days a week and every week to collect together the items ... | |||||

| Check out some of the European sponsors on the right Many of those are getting damn top prices for their items. I don't see any bargains to be had. That is, of course, those dealers who actually will show the price and not hide behind "P.O.A.". My primary comparison with 1st dibs is the Rago and Wright live auctions going on on eBay. With their minimal information and high premimums at the close of auction, they certainly give 1st dibs a run for their money. Anyone ever look at rewire.com? They get some fabulously rare lightning and complete redo the wir ... | |||||

On a serious note,Are you suggesting that he is claiming that all sales through any first dibs linked shop even if the punter walks in off the street or are you suggesting he is soimply inflating all the figures ? Are there any decorators here ? Do you buy stuff through first dibs even if you have not seen it in person ?//

Now i have to figure out how to unload the Baker sofa. | Yes, apparently there's something wrong with many of the forum users Golly sakes....people bitching about 1st dibs when they are not the only 'expensive bad guys' (Heck, they're only representatives...not store owners). You try to reason with those people complaining and they ignore you and keep on keeping on. I suggested to someone that lighter fluid as a great glue remover, and again, a number of people go off the deep end with "oh my God, isn't it flammable????????" They completely ignore the fact that I have used it for years without any problem and I ...

| Perhaps I don't understand.... You are all raving about 1st dibs as if the owner sets all of the prices. I am under the impression that these items are for sale from individual dealers within the 1st dibs network. If that's true, then is it still possible that the owner of 1st dibs is demanding each and every dealer to set a price to the owner's personal dictates? If you'all survey the Design Addict sponsors on the right, you'll find plenty of MCM dealers selling similar items for similar ridiculous prices. I'm not defending 1st dibs, but, as stated previou ... | |||||
