| that makes sense........ These would be way too much for the joe sixpacks of this red white and blue nation. They have a high art film quality, plus naked chicks. The "shoot em up one" is like a jazzy Goddard slippery diamond. Best of all these films illustrate that when relaxing Satan himself sits on Herman Miller. BeLoved, thank you for this golden discovery......... | |||||

| I'd bet money ... that they are fake. Sorry to contradict you Whitespike, but they look very wrong to me. I've not scrutinized any knock offs, but I've handled plenty of real diamond chairs. WoofWoof is right, the connection between the seat and base is all wrong. Also from the photos it looks like there is a weld glob where each wire crosses another. That should not be. The Knoll chairs are electronically welded so the wires are attached but there is no additional material added. If it was in one or two places, you could say that the wires became disconnect ... | |||||

| ... problems with the Eames lounge chair. There's often a few being sold on eBay in less than ideal condition (along with the knockoffs). In my opinion, a lounge chair and ottoman must be not only beautifully designed, but it must sturdy enough for real everyday useage. For the most part, the Womb, Grasshopper, Bird, diamond, Ribbon, and Platner chairs seem to be well made - although I've occasionally heard about the Bird, diamond and Platner requiring resoldering. As anyone heard of horror stories about the inner workings of the Womb chair - other than it nee ... | |||||

| ... chair: I find nothing so uncomfortable as Bertoia side chairs. Cannot stand them! So beautiful, yet the metal bars just poke poke poke me in the back! And such a difference between the side chairs and the diamond (which I find surprisingly comfy). I don't think many of the great modern designs were put forth without comfort in mind. But, since no body is the same, you are presented with different opinions of what comfort it. A good friend insists that the Wassily chair is THE reading chair for him. I can't sit in it for more than ten minutes. Mies hi ... | |||||

| ... over the hands and a walnut rim. One clock that truly is a GREAT design also recently became available on ebay. Designed in 1961 in connection with the "Clocks Ahead of Time" Series, and attributed to Irving Harper in Nelson's office, what some call the spike diamond (model no. 2293) is one of the best designs out there in my opinion. http://cgi.ebay.com/rare-george-nelson-wall-clock-howard-miller-eames-ju... | |||||

| Try clear lacquer nail polish. I have a diamond & Baratta high lacquer coffee table with a couple of dings in it along the edges. It is a deep cerulean blue. I used a blue magic marker to color the spots and filled up the dent with nail polish and it is indistinguishable from the original unless you are right on top of it. | |||||

| Got some images below of the... Got some images below of the new rug, I'm sure some of you won't like it but I love the colour. Nearly finished now in this room, will lower the picture as mentioned probably over the weekend. Just on the look out for the Swan chair in place of the diamond, and a Platner table in place of the Nelson. | |||||
